Apron Card

I made this card with an svg file from www.scrappedlives.nl. Since I am new to card making, I had a hard time figuring out how to make it a card, so I altered the apron to attach to the square card, so it now folds long way. I like it better than the others I have seen! I created my own pockets, which was easy, just cut out the pocket shape twice and I added ribbon to make it look more like a fabric. It was a fun card to make.

Paper Flowers

I saw a video on how to make paper flowers with my cricut but I do not have the George cartridge. Here is the video, click here. I went in search of an SCAL svg file of a 5 petal flower and I found this website, click here.

The instructions on both sites were very easy to follow and this is how mine turned out:

This is the first batch I made. I did not add the inking to the edges on the first flower (bottom left) but I did with the others and I like them better. I am diffinetly going to make more!!!

Practice Cards

My daughter and I went to crop night at Michaels and we practiced embossing and stamping. We are just learning and it was fun to see the different effects. I am inspired to keep going and make some fun cards!!

Light Switch Cover

My mom gave me this light switch cover but it was too big for any switches in my house so I decided to scrapbook it! I put this in my scrapbook room and now Sarah would like for me to make her one for her room, but with her brother and her. This was a fun and easy little project to do.

New Year's Eve

Fireworks are finally allowed in Arizona. This is the first holiday we can shoot them off so my husband bought some. Then, he came home to show me and took me and we bought more! We had a great time and the kids loved it! We even have some extra for another night.

Happy New Year!!

Christmas Wreath

I made this wreath for a project with the Scrapped Lives Design Team, click here.

This wreath was a lot of fun to make! We were given a file to use with our SCAL/Cricut and we were to make something from it. I wanted to make a wreath. I found some suede paper I purchased long ago and it worked perfect for the deer. I cut the rest of the shapes, added glitter, made a bow and done!

Sure Cuts A Lot - SCAL

I am excited to say that I am now an affiliate for Crafter's Edge and the Sure Cuts A Lot program for the Cricut! I purchased this program over a year ago and I have used it so much! Some people say that you will not need to purchase another Cricut Cartridage, but I still do because I like to have more options.

The Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) program is a versitale program that will let you cut any font in your inventory... if you are like me, I have over 1000 fonts I have collected over the years! There are so many websites out there that offer free files to download to use in SCAL. I have made many projects, including the most recent turkey post, using SCAL. My turkey took me 45 minutes to cut, color and glue together. It took longer to wait for the glue to dry than it did for me to cut the pieces, lol!

If you own a Cricut machine, even the Cricut Cake machine, you NEED SCAL!! Let me know if you have questions and please follow my links so you can help me earn a little play money for my crafting hobbies! =o)

Sure Cuts A Lot purchase: CLICK HERE

Also, once you purcase the program, let me know and I will direct you to some awesome websites you can start downloading from! I will add them to my blog soon as well! Happy Scrapping!!

Gobble! Gobble!

Here is my turkey I made today. I downloaded the .cut file from this website, CLICK HERE. I made it bigger than the original file, so he can sit on the fireplace mantel next to the haystack of Adam & Sarah. He is about 10 inches high and 9 inches wide. I used Sarah's crayons to highlight all the pieces and I found some cute googly eyes to make him adorable! I am glad I made him... now I need to figure out how to stand him up =o)
