While at the game, we saw a red cardnial and the kids got to run the bases at the end of the game! Sarah decided not to do it at the last minute, she said it was boring, but Adam loved it!
We went to see the Diamondbacks and the White Sox at TEP field for Spring Training today and IT WAS FUN! I was so excited I got to see Eric Byrnes up close... to bad I couldn't get an autograph!
Geof was outside watering the backyard
and I was inside making lunch. He
suddenly came inside smiling and said
to come look. While he was spraying
the bush under our window, a cat ran
out. He pushed the bush to see what she
was doing and saw 3 kittens sleeping. He
fed the mom some Tuna and now our
family has grown.
Earlier, he went outside to see
shat was making lots of noise
and found a nest of baby
birds. It was a good
day and we had
fun with the new
discoveries
in our
yard.

I made this page real quick tonight! I came home from work and did dishes and then sat in front of my laptop. I was looking at more sketches to see if I could whip up another scrapbook page and then I decided I was just going to make this page, no template/sketch, just pushing the images around the page until I like it. It was a nice way to forget all about the woes of work... ;o)

Bunny's Blanket is finished
I am finished! I have been working on Bunny's blanket for 4 weeks now and it is done, yea! I knited a square-like shape and then I sewed ivory lace around it with a black backing (an old pillowcase)... Bunny and Sarah are so happy and bunny is sparkling!
I am excited because I was able to get my sewing machine and my grandmother's serger into my scrapbook and start teaching Sarah how to sew. I have not used my sewing machine in years and it still works great. Now, I just need to find my straight pins.

I am just crazy about you
This page was inspired from a scrapbook page I saw on the "Life is what life does" blog: CLICK HERE I loved that page so much, I decided to try my own.
For this page, I used my Cricut Expression to cut out the corner decorations and the center "wheel" using the Accents Essentials cart. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart for the center O and for the wording. I cut the wording out of 2 different papers to give the illusion of shadowing/chipboard.
I embossed the corner decorations and the "wheel" with gold heat embossing powder. I used metal brads for the corners of the page, the corners of the photo and a little decoration in the center of the wheel. I used the torn Mulberry paper for the photo mat and a date stamp on the bottom of the photo.
I used various papers on this page, I am sorry, but I do not know the names. I am using up my older stock and most are unlabeled.
I really like how this turned out, I just need to learn to take better digital photos! It is perfect for my son's photo, he is turning out to be a handsome young man!
I taught Sarah how to tear Mulberry paper and she loves it! This are photo examples of how to do it. First, you wet the edges of the paper, we used a Q-tip. Then, you gently tear away from the center of the paper and it forms a nice torn edge. She decided to only do 2 side of her paper, I have see this done with all 4 sides of the paper torn. Either way makes a nice effect as a photo mat.
